Road & infrastructure hazards
The tanker bleeding fuel, the fallen container, the pothole that wrecks a tyre.
Nigeria's civic accountability platform
CrowdEye turns what everyday Nigerians witness — dangerous roads, abuse of power, acts worth celebrating, harm done to neighbors — into verified reports that reach the people who can actually act. No feeds to scroll. Just communities that get safer.

THE GAP
Every day, Nigerians witness four kinds of thing that should never be ignored — and watch every one of them disappear. It goes to social media, goes viral, then vanishes. No one verifies it. No agency receives it. Nothing changes. CrowdEye exists to close that gap across all four.
The tanker bleeding fuel, the fallen container, the pothole that wrecks a tyre.
The checkpoint bribe, the abuse of power — captured, and sent where it counts.
The officer who helped, the neighbour who stepped up — worth celebrating, not losing.
The theft or violence a community needs the authorities to actually see.
The problem was never capture. It's structure — turning what millions already see into something that reaches the people who can act. That's exactly what CrowdEye is.
HOW IT WORKS
Open CrowdEye and capture what you see. Location, time and a tamper-evident seal are attached automatically.
A human moderator reviews every report before it moves — filtering duplicates and false alarms.
Verified reports go straight to the right authority — mapped to what happened and where.
Follow your report from submitted to actioned — and earn airtime or mobile-money when it’s verified.
VERIFIED BEFORE IT GOES ANYWHERE
Before a report reaches the public feed or an authority, every photo and video runs through an automated authenticity pipeline — then a human for anything sensitive. Recycled footage, edits and AI-generated fakes get caught here, not after they’ve spread.
We confirm the capture time and location, and flag backdated footage or clips recycled from somewhere else.
Advanced detection screens for deepfakes, AI-generated scenes and digitally manipulated media.
Every upload is cryptographically sealed on arrival, so verified evidence can’t be quietly altered later.
Each report earns an authenticity score — and anything sensitive always gets human review before it is routed.
Nothing is auto-published on trust alone. Reports that can’t be verified are held for review — never pushed live on the strength of a caption.
WHAT YOU CAN REPORT
CrowdEye handles each report by how sensitive it is. Road hazards are public and fast. Verified misconduct is published too — with faces blurred except public officials acting in their official capacity. Recognition needs consent, and alleged crime goes to the authorities privately as evidence.
Unroadworthy or leaking vehicles, fallen containers, debris, broken signals, potholes, flooding, and civil disobedience that endangers other road users.
Verified & routed to road agenciesExtortion, abuse of power or electoral malpractice by officials. Published once verified — perpetrators’ faces are blurred, except public officials acting in their official capacity, who can be shown for accountability.
Verified, published & flagged to oversightRecognise officials and citizens doing the right thing. Private individuals only appear with consent.
Consent-based, positive by designSubmit as evidence to the authorities only. Faces are blurred; nothing is published to a public feed.
Evidence to authorities, privatelyBUILT TO BE SAFE & LAWFUL
CrowdEye is designed around one line: point the lens at hazards and public duty, protect private individuals. Every part of the app is built that way, in code — not just in a policy page.
No hidden recording. CrowdEye is for documenting the public scene in the open, safely.
Private individuals are automatically blurred in anything shown outside the handling authority.
Your identity is never shown to the public or to anyone named in a report. Full stop.
Every capture is sealed with a hash at submission, so verified reports hold up as evidence.
Sensitive reports go privately to the right body. CrowdEye is not a public shaming wall.
Built to Nigeria’s data-protection law — lawful basis, data minimisation and retention limits.
“Alleged,” never “guilty.” CrowdEye documents and routes — it never decides guilt or hands out punishment.
How we handle data is set out in our Privacy Policy, and the rules of use in our Terms of Use.
